Seats represent the maximum number of users your organization can have, across all roles, from Learners to Owners.
Billing is based on the number of seats your organization has, not the number currently in use. For example, if your organization has 25 seats but only 10 active members, you will still be billed for 25 seats.
Once a user has a seat and joins the organization, they can use the platform as much as needed. There are no additional usage-based charges, which makes costs easier to predict.
An organization cannot invite more users than it has available seats. To invite additional users, an Owner must either increase the total number of seats or free up existing seats by removing members or revoking pending invitations.
Seat increases take effect immediately and are billed on a prorated basis. For example, if a seat is added halfway through the billing month, only half of that seat’s monthly cost will be charged for the current month.
Seat decreases cannot be scheduled if the new total would reduce available seats below your organization’s current membership. In that case, active members would need to be removed or pending invitations revoked before the decrease can be applied.
