Seats can be decreased to better match your organization’s actual membership and avoid paying for unused capacity. Because billing is based on the number of seats your organization has, rather than how many are actively being used, reviewing seat count regularly can help control costs.
Unlike seat increases, seat decreases do not take effect immediately. They can be scheduled at any time, but the change will only take effect at the start of the next billing month.
Seat decreases cannot be scheduled if the new total would fall below your organization’s current membership. This includes active members and, depending on how your system handles availability, may also require you to review pending invitations before reducing seats.
Seats can be adjusted in just a few clicks.
- In the lower half of the Billing tab, select the Manage Seats tab.
- Click the Adjust Seats button to open a modal window.
- Enter your organization’s new seat count, up to your plan’s minimum.
- Click Continue to proceed.
- Review any warnings, then confirm the change.
