Our Workplace Professionalism Course Just Dropped!

Professionalism is something everyone is expected to understand, but almost no one is actually taught.

Why This Course Matters

Most people hear “be professional” long before anyone explains what that means in practice. Often, the first real instruction comes only after they are told they are “doing it wrong.”

That is frustrating for new employees and managers alike. New hires may miss expectations that seem obvious to others because no one has helped them decode the unwritten rules of the workplace. That gap is exactly why we built this course.

Starting With Organizational Culture

The course begins with company culture, because professionalism depends heavily on context.

A suit and tie may be standard at one organization and hilariously overdressed at another. The same is true for communication style, body language, and nearly every other workplace interaction. Learners need to understand the culture they are operating in and use that awareness to navigate it effectively.

Direct Communication Matters

The second unit focuses on how we use language in the workplace.

Direct communication matters most when pressure, uncertainty, or risk are involved. A vague answer can make a bad situation worse. A clear one can help salvage it. This unit helps learners build that skill in a practical, recognizable way.

Putting Skills Into Practice

As with our other courses, we don’t stop at theory. Learners actually get a chance to practice.

The first scene puts them in a simple but high-stakes moment. They run into their boss in the hallway and need to explain a difficult situation quickly and clearly.

It’s a short interaction, which is exactly why it feels real. Some of the most important workplace conversations happen without warning, without a meeting invite, and without time to script the perfect response.

Expanding What Our Trainers Can Do

We took this as an opportunity to push the limits of what our system can do.

For the first time, learners will see our AI-powered virtual trainers bring a broader emotional range into a scene. In this case, your boss is pressed for time and needs an update immediately. The result is a better reflection of how workplace communication actually feels when the stakes are high.

What’s Coming Next

The first two units of Workplace Professionalism are available now, and additional units are on the way over the next few weeks.

Next week we will be releasing Learning Your Job, a new course focused on streamlining onboarding. Together, these releases mark the beginning of a broader push toward training that helps both individuals and organizations from day one.
